John Johnston

John Johnston was found dead in a wood with a razor on his breast.

He had gone missing on the day he was due to be married on 18 June 1919.

He had been a baker's van man and had lived in Armour Street, Kilmarnock.

His body was found by some boys who had been playing in a small wood near Kilmarnock. The razor was found on his chest and his collar and tie, along with the empty razor case were by his side.
